Cinnamon, a spicy ingredient is used in sweets and savories. The origination of Cinnamon is South America, and Southeast Asia. There are 2 various types of Cinnamon. So they are namely Cinnamomum verum (Ceylon cinnamon) & Cinnamomum aromaticum (Cassia cinnamon or Chinese cinnamon).

Anti-fungal action:

Cassia cinnamon contains a chemical called Cinnamaldehyde has a power to fight against fungal and bacterial infections. Cinnamon oil is effective while acting against the Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, and Candida krusei. A mixture of Ceylon cinnamon leaf oil and carrier oil is an excellent external topical application for fungal diseases. Cinnamon Bark Oil is used as an antibacterial agent. Cassia cinnamon is the best E-coli fighter.

Musculo-skeletal:

Manganese is one of the most essential mineral for bones. Manganese builds bones, cells, blood and connective tissues. Intake of cinnamon in food increases the Manganese level and inhibits various bone problems such as Arthritis, osteoarthritis.

Cinnamon is a blood thinner. The blood thinning process increases blood circulation. It avoids blood clots which cause various heart diseases. When blood circulation increases, metabolism rate is increased simultaneously. So the increased metabolism rate reduces the LDL level from blood, thus maintains the body weight.
